And it doesn\u2019t end there\u2026we follow up to ensure you receive optimal post-discharge care once you\u2019re back home.<\/p>\n<p>To properly monitor our patients\u2019 wellbeing and ensure the finest medical care, we are proud to have a Geriatrician on our staff, as well as an outstanding Nurse Practitioner who is on site 5 days a week \u2013 working hand-in-hand with our medical team.<\/p>\n<h3>Our suite of clinical services includes:<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"two-columns\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/neweastwoodrehab.com\/subacute-rehabilitation\/\"><strong>Post-Operative Subacute Care<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Post-surgical rehabilitation is recommended by your physician, based on your medical needs.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>24\/7 Skilled Nursing<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Physical Therapy<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>The goal of physical therapy is to reduce pain and inflammation, speed up healing, and strengthen muscles. Physical therapy is often prescribed after surgery. At New Eastwood Healthcare &amp; Rehabilitation Center the goal of therapy is to improve the patient\u2019s function and strength so that they are able to return home to a level of independence.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Occupational Therapy<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>The purpose of occupational therapy is to assist the patient in improving or the ability to perform daily activities. Occupational therapists use different treatment methods including stretching and strengthening exercises, practice of daily activities.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Speech Therapy<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Speech therapy deals with a person\u2019s ability to communicate.
